Geography
Anegada is the most northerly of all
the British Virgin Islands. It is of coral formation
with numerous salt ponds. Anegada’s Western salt
ponds are a Ramsar site and favourable for bird
watching.
Population
Currently estimated at 200 people.
Economy
The waters around Anegada are rich
with
fish of varying species as well as
lobsters, conchs, turtles and whelks. Tourism and
fishing are the main industries on this
island.

Most of the businesses on the island
are locally own. Among these are hotels, villas,
restaurants, gift shops, car rentals, a gas station
and a cargo barge for shipping.
